... Katherine Legge Memorial Lodge           A quiet, unique, woodland setting for your next gathering. The Katherine Legge Memorial Park and Lodge are located on 52 beautiful acres of woodland, a perfect setting for any occasion. The KLM Lodge was designed by architect R. Harold Zook and built in 1927. It has recently been refurbished and has been given historic landmark status by the Village of Hinsdale. Part of KLM Lodge's charm can be seen in its spiderweb window, a Zook signature he reserved for his favorite buildings.   ...       The KLM Lodge is available for rental to accommodate private and corporate events such as weddings and receptions, business meetings, parties, banquets and seminars. The spacious rooms provide a comfortable, warm atmosphere and a place for recreational activities. KLM Lodge is truly one of Hinsdale's jewels.         Picnics are great fun at Katherine Legge Memorial Park. There are two picnic pavilions, each equipped with charcoal grill, water and electric hook-ups. There are also five permanently installed grills throughout the park. The pavilions and grounds areas may be reserved by individuals or groups for a fee. Reservations are required for groups of 25 or more or for use of a pavilion.         Picnic kits containing bats, balls, volleyball with net, horseshoes, kickball and Frisbee are available for rent at your picnic.
