Tree planting, trimming and removal on public grounds, including parkways, is done on a scheduled basis by the Village tree crew. Report diseased elm trees to the Public Works Department for prompt inspection. Homeowners are required to remove diseased elms on their property within ten days after notice to protect against the spread of the disease to another tree. The Village removes diseased elms from the parkway. |

A sewer use charge of 15% of the net water bill is made for all homes and businesses connected to the Village sanitary sewer system. These funds are used to keep sanitary sewers in good working order through a program of cleaning, maintenance and repair. Some homes in Hinsdale near 55th Street are served by sewers owned and maintained by the Hinsdale Sanitary District (a separate governmental agency). |
